Veritas Academy (Sunday morning classes @ 9:30 a.m.)
Biblical and faith studies are a critical part of our mission in begin equipped to follow Jesus. We grow in part by simply learning about and imitating our Lord. Hebrews 4 teaches us that "the Word of God is living and active". Our classes at Tri-Valley are designed to help students dig deeper in the living Word and to help it come alive in our daily walk with God.
Veritas (the Latin word for "truth") is an attempt to shape our times of study closer to a university model. A course catalog is offered each fall to help students design a balanced learning plan based on four major disciplines:
- Introduction to the Bible / Old Testament
- The Life of Jesus / Gospels
- Church History / New Testament Epistles
- Christian Living
In addition, our Veritas faculty is made up of thoughtful, experienced, and well-prepared teachers whose material is designed to engage students in practical application. Whether you're new to studying the Bible or a veteran, take advantage of this great program.

Encountering Jesus through the Gospel of John

This two-quarter, two-part class reintroduces Christians to Jesus! Would you like to know Jesus, God's son? Has your walk with Jesus grown cold? Does your faith need rejuvenating? If you answered "yes" to any of these, then join us in exploring the book of John, an account of the life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth.
Parents of Teens Seminar
Teachers: Joel Standley and Phil Weiss
Join us for a new class where parents and grandparents of teens and almost-teens can get together to talk about ways to raise great servants of God. The classes will consist of a short video followed by time to pray for one another and discuss the current joys and challenges of raising teens in 2010.
Family Track: Great Leaders of the Bible: King David, Solomon, Elijah and Jehoshaphat
Teacher: Darren McGrandle
Featuring: the shepherd poet king who was a man after God's own heart, the world's wisest ruler whose wisdom was a gift from God, the prophet of God who challenged a host of Baal's prophets to a spiritual showdown, and a king who was a strong reformer that trusted God, not his own power, for victory over his enemies! (2 Samuel, 1 & 2 Kings, Chronicles).
