If this is your first Sunday at the Tri-Valley Church of Christ, here are a few things to keep in mind:
First, we have classes for all ages starting at 9:30am. Adults can choose from three different classes in our Vertias program. An usher will be happy to help you select and find a class. Children meet in classrooms 1-5, and teens start in the the teen room, located in the Family Life Center. You should plan to arrive about 10 minutes early (around 9:20am) to give yourself time to find where you want to go.
Then, at 10:30am we offer our worship service. If you have already attended a class, then gather with any family members and make your way to the auditorium. Our nursery program is the only exception, in that our volunteers provide a continual program for children (newborn - 3yrs) that lasts through both the class and worship. Nursery workers will offer you a pager to notify you if you're needed.
If you are simply attending the worship service, plan to come about 10 minutes early (at 10:20am). There is coffee available in the foyer, and you are welcome to mingle or find a seat. We offer a fun program for young children (newborn - 3) in the nursery thoughout the service, so feel free to drop the little ones off in classroom #1. Clipboards with worksheets for older children are available in the foyer. Kids are welcome to take one to their seat and work on it during the service.
When the sermon begins (around 11:15am), children 4 yrs. - 5th grade are invited to go to the Family Life Center for a special Kid's Own Worship program. This short class is full of creative teaching and enjoyable activities. Parents can escort their kids to the class, and should pick them up when the worship service is over.
Our worship service last about 75-80 minutes, and includes a time of singing, prayer, Scripture reading, communion, announcements, and a sermon. We normally are finished before noon.
